Monday at the grindstone

It’s at times like this that I’m reminded of the classic Douglas Adams quote:

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

I’m not entirely sure what my deadlines are. I’m just overwhelmed by a pervasive whooshing noise and by the sense that my head cannot contain another style guide without exploding.

I’ve pushed out my return from London to Johannesburg, to September 4. I’ll be house-sitting for my parents in Johannesburg till September 20, when I will finally return to Cape Town.

Add to the list of unrealised projects, “A history of death”. No matter, it’s probably already been written.
