Children detained in Guantanamo Bay

US admits detaining under-16s at Guantanamo Bay, and Canadian officials are denied access to a 15-year-old Canadian detained. Indefinite detention without trial: is this the conduct of a great democracy? Or the beginnings of a mean-spirited, cowardly crawl towards fascism (Norman Mailer’s fear)?
